Wow!! Congrats to Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary on being named the 2013 Stellar Gospel Music Awards Hosts!  This is great news and leaves a lot of hightened expectations!! I for one think that they will do a great job.  We’ve seen how Kirk does with the BET Sunday Best hosting gig, and adding Mary Mary is going to be great for them, as their reality show Mary Mary gears up for its second season in December!  I’m stoked about this and wishing for a fun and entertaining night!

The Stellars closed their ballots for public voting on Oct. 15th and will hold a press conference on Friday, Oct. 26th in Atlanta, GA to announce the final nominees for all categories.  Also this years special acheivements are as follows: the Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legends Award goes to Inez Andrews. The Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award recipient will be presented to Bishop T.D. Jakes, and Kurt Carr will receive the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award!
