I kept seeing the tweets all weekend about how TobyMac’s sixth studio album “Eye On It” may come in #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.  Well it’s official and congrats to TobyMac for giving christian music another great honor.  It’s was 1997 when LeAnn Rhime’s “You Light Up My Life-Inspirational Songs” album last topped the chart shedding light on christian music.  Now with TobyMac’s feat, this is also the third time ever, that a christian album has nabbed the #1 spot on this chart!  TobyMac made very impressive first week sales according to Neilson SoundScan selling 69.000 copies and also debuting at #1 on the Billboard Christian Album chart.  I am more than happy for TobyMac, he’s no stranger though to great accomplishments having been in music for well over 20 years.  Combined with his former group DC Talk and his solo career, TobyMac has sold over 10 million records.
