Back when I posted about foreverJONES preparing to release a new album; I stated that if I took the time out to really get into them, I would become an instant fan.  I am pleased to announce that, that ideal has come to fruition!!  foreverJONES held a special (impromptu, I think) concert here in Charlotte, NC.  This Grammy/Dove nominated and Stellar Award winning group is made up of, Dad, Dewitt and Mother, Kim, their children D’Jeniele’, Dominique, Mya Joy Grace,  Dewitt IV and Judah.  foreverJONES are amazing musicians and songwriters and released their sophomore album “Musical Revival” back in April.

The family ministered in song and word.  Kim gave a beautiful and encouraging word to the single mothers in attendance, and eldest daughter D’Jeniele  with father, Dewitt in tow, spoke to and prayed over all of the youth.  The family performed cuts from their album “Musical Revival” as well as their smash hit “He Wants It All” (from the Get Ready album). It was a wonderful, fun and amazing experience!  Dominique can SANG!!! D’Jeniele is AWESOME and Miss Mya…GIRL!!  I also enjoyed Dewitt IV, as I did not know and had never heard him sing, but his leads on “Being With You” freaking rock!!! Mother and Father are dope as well.  I love that they are accomplished musicians and seeing them live was amazing!  The experience of being there wasn’t like attending a concert, but more like foreverJONES giving us, inviting us into their 9AM daily family devotion time!  I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I would love to see them live again!!

I had not previously purchased the album, but after such a wonderful evening, I had no problem making sure I sowed into their ministry!  I really wanted them to perform my favorite song from the album “Just The Way,” but Dominque told me afterwards, that they were intending to (cause I had tweeted them my request earlier) during the offering, but wanted to remain sensitive to Pastor Gool’s order and the flow of the service.  So hopefully next time!  I had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed myself and getting to learn more and witness for myself the wonderful ministry of foreverJONES.  It is very evident that this family is in love with Christ, loves each other, loves music and doesn’t mind sharing all of that with an audience!  Yes, I am officially a FAN!!!
