It was only in 2010 when Micah Stampley and wife Heidi, entered into a business venture partnering their independent label, Interface Entertainment Group, with Mathew Knowles’ Music World Gospel. Together the labels gave us Micah’s compilation CD “Release Me” and his latest 2011 release “One Voice”. Now sources (GospelPundit.com) say that the two companies have dissolved ties. Micah even retweeted the article giving confirmation. It comes not as a surprise, but there are also no clear reasons why he left. Micah has been cited as only saying, “On behalf of Heidi and I and the Interface Entertainment Group of Companies, we sincerely thank Mr. Mathew Knowles and the Music World family. We wish them continued success and look forward to all the things God has in store for us in the future to come.” -Micah Stampley
Micah Stampley and his wife have been credited to having a great sense of the music industry and that their business strategies are ones that other artists could learn from. Yet, with no concrete answers as to why this business partnership has mutually ended, one has to wonder what really is going on. Is the ban against MWG from Cathy Hughes (Radio One) doing more harm than Mathew Knowles let on? Could it be lack of promotion/marketing for “One Voice”. I guess it remains to be seen what happens next *insert worried look*
